Type S magnetic contactors and starters are for motor control applications and 8903S lighting contactors are for lighting control applications. This transient suppression module is designed to be used to suppress the voltage spike generated when opening coil circuit. This voltage spike can cause issue with nearby integrated and solid state control circuits. The module consists of an RC circuit. It is designed to suppress the coil voltage transients to approximately 200% of peak coil supply voltage. It is designed for coil voltages of 120 VAC. This module can be used with NEMA size 3, 4 and 5 devices. This module is UL listed and UL component recognized.
