Type S nonreversing magnetic contactors are used to switch heating loads, capacitors, transformers, and electric motors where overload protection is provided separately. Type S non-reversing magnetic NEMA motor starters are for motor control applications. The coil can be easily replaced in a Type S contactor or starter. By changing out the coil, the contactor or starter can be used in different control circuit voltage applications. This will also save the cost of a whole new contactor if the coil were to fail. This coil is used in an 8502SA NEMA contactor or 8635SA NEMA motor starter. The coil is rated for 440/480 VAC 50/60 Hz. The inrush power of this coil is 165 VA.
