This braking resistor is an option for variable speed drives of Altivar range. It dissipates the braking energy, and enables maximum transient braking torque. It has an Ohmic value of 100Ohms at 20°C and its protection index is IP20. It is compatible with Altivar 312, Altivar 31, Altivar 32, Altivar 320, Altivar 61, Altivar 71 and Altivar easy 310. Its protection index is IP20. It weighs 1.9kg. This resistor is designed to be mounted on the outside of the enclosure, but should not inhibit natural cooling, air inlets and outlets must not be obstructed in any way.
