This braking resistor is an option for servo drives of Lexium range and variable speed drives of Altivar range when used with synchronous motors. It has an Ohmic value of 27Ohms. This external braking resistor is required to dissipate the excess braking energy when the servo motor has to be braked frequently. In this case, the internal braking resistor must be deactivated Its protection index is IP65. It is equipped with a 2m connection cable. It weighs 1.47kg.
