This cable shielding connection kit is part of the Modicon X80 modules. This kit is used to protect against electrostatic discharge when connecting the shielding on cordsets for connecting I/O modules. It is mounted under the rack holding the I/O modules. It is used for connecting analog, counter and motion control modules. It is also used to connect Magelis XBT operator interface to the processor. It comprises, 1 metal bar that takes the clamping rings and the earthing terminal and 2 support bases to be mounted on the rack.
