Type S nonreversing magnetic contactors are used to switch heating loads, capacitors, transformers, and electric motors where overload protection is provided separately. Type S non-reversing magnetic NEMA motor starters are for motor control applications. The coil can be easily replaced in a Type S contactor or starter. By changing out the coil, the contactor or starter can be used in different control circuit voltage applications. This will also save the cost of a whole new contactor if the coil were to fail. This coil is used in an 8502SA NEMA contactor or 8635SA NEMA motor starter. The coil is rated for 208 VAC 60 Hz. The inrush power of this coil is 165 VA.
